As we observe this important Tribal holiday, we honor the history, culture, traditions, and contributions of the Pascua Yaqui Yoeme people.

🎉 What an incredible way to kick off the Pascua Yaqui Tribe’s 48th Annual Federal Recognition Celebration! 🎉

A heartfelt thank you to the Guadalupe community for coming out, celebrating with us, and making this event such a memorable success. From the daytime activities to an evening filled with music, and community spirit, it was wonderful to see so many families, friends, and community members gathered together in recognition of this important milestone.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Pascua Yaqui Tribal Council, Tribal Administration, and all Tribal Departments whose hard work, dedication, and teamwork made this celebration possible. Your efforts behind the scenes helped create an event that honored our history, strengthened our connections, and showcased the pride and resilience of our Yaqui people.

Thank you to everyone who attended, participated, performed, volunteered, and contributed to the celebration. This was a beautiful beginning to our 48th Annual Recognition festivities, and we look forward to celebrating together throughout the week.

• Free food will be provided by Casino Del Sol while supplies last.
• Food vouchers will not be provided this year.

🕊️In Loving Memory of Joshua O. Rees 🕊️

It is with heavy hearts that we share the attached message from the Office of the Attorney General regarding the passing of Assistant Attorney General Joshua O. Rees.

Joshua was a valued member of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe family whose dedication, kindness, professionalism, and service touched many lives. His contributions to our Tribe and the relationships he built with colleagues and community members will not be forgotten.

As we mourn this loss together, we extend our deepest condolences to Joshua’s wife, family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Thank you to Mayor Regina Romero, Vice Mayor Lane Santa Cruz, and Councilmember Kevin Dahl for visiting and discussing opportunities to strengthen collaboration between the Pascua Yaqui Tribe and the City of Tucson. Strong partnerships and open communication help us better serve our mutual communities and work toward shared goals.
