The Salvation Army Tucson is looking for volunteer bell ringers to help make Christmas brighter for families and individuals in our community! 🎄

Every ring of the bell is a reminder that hope is alive, and every donation helps provide essential services and support to those who need it most right here in Tucson.

❤️ Can you spare a couple of hours to make a difference? Whether you're volunteering on your own, with family, friends, coworkers, or a community group, your time can make a tremendous impact!

📣 Calling all local businesses! Sign up to sponsor a full day of bell ringing, and have your employees take turns volunteering in two-hour shifts. We'll promote it as your business's day at the Red Kettle...a wonderful way to showcase your company's commitment to giving back to our community!

The Salvation Army Tucson’s Angel Tree Program opens tomorrow, October 8, for families to begin applying for Christmas assistance.

If your family could use a little extra help making Christmas special this year, we’re here for you. 🎁✨

❤️ Spreading the Love with the Tucson Breakfast Lions Club! ❤️

We had such a wonderful morning speaking with the Tucson Breakfast Lions Club and sharing more about the work of The Salvation Army Tucson!

We are especially grateful for their incredible generosity. They donated 80 POUNDS of peanut butter to our Spread the Love Peanut Butter & Jelly Drive! 🥜 🍇 👏

This generous donation will help us provide nutritious meals and food assistance to individuals and families in our community who need a little extra help.

A huge THANK YOU to the Tucson Breakfast Lions Club for welcoming us to your breakfast meeting, giving us the opportunity to share about The Salvation Army Tucson, and for helping us Spread the Love in such a big way! ❤️

50% of sales from hot and iced coffee drinks at participating locations will be donated to The Salvation Army Tucson to help provide hope, help and essential services to people in need throughout our community. ❤️

🚴‍♀️ What a fun morning at the El Tour de Tucson “Loop de Loop” at Rillito Park! 🚴‍♀️

The Salvation Army Tucson was excited to be there as a vendor, and we had such a great time chatting with riders, families, and everyone who stopped by! It was wonderful connecting with our community and sharing more about how we help people in need throughout Tucson. ❤️

And we had an extra-special moment when one of the riders signed up to ride for Team Salvation Army! 🚴‍♂️ We can’t wait to cheer them on!

Of course, we can’t forget Olivia the turtle! 🐢 One of the vendors brought Olivia along, and she had a wonderful time scouting out the property and being absolutely oodled over by the crowd! 🐢

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello and to all the riders who are helping make El Tour de Tucson such a special Tucson tradition. We loved being part of the fun!

🤝 Building a Stronger Partnership to Serve Our Community

Today, The Salvation Army Tucson Hospitality House welcomed a team from El Rio Health for a tour of the facility and a conversation about expanding services for our shelter residents.

El Rio is already making a difference at Hospitality House every Tuesday, providing medical care and support to shelter clients. Now, the two organizations are working together to bring behavioral health services to the facility in the near future...an important resource that has been greatly needed by some of our community’s most vulnerable neighbors. 💙

This partnership is a wonderful example of what can happen when caring organizations come together with a shared goal: helping people move toward healthier, more stable lives.

We are grateful to El Rio for their commitment to serving people where they are and look forward to all that this partnership will make possible! ❤️

As we approach the one-year anniversary of the 2025 flooding in Globe, AZ, the harrowing survival story of U.S. Marine Corps veteran David Hayes Sr, whose RV was swept away with him in it, has now become an inspirational example of how your kindness allows The Salvation Army to help people recover no matter how dark the days. Thank you!❤️

We are so grateful for community partner FOX 10 Phoenix for shining their spotlight on the stories of redemption occurring in the wake of such devastation.

Saved from rising floodwaters in Globe, veteran David Hayes Sr. credits faith, family, and community support for his recovery.

💜 Kindness has a way of coming full circle. 🥜🍇

We recently received a very special donation of jars of peanut butter and jelly from someone who stayed at The Salvation Army Hospitality House in 2018.

Now, years later, he wanted to give back to the organization that was there for him when he needed help.

His generous donation is a beautiful reminder that the support we provide today can make a lasting difference, sometimes in ways we may not see for years.

We are so grateful for his generosity and for his desire to help others who may be walking a similar path. ❤️
