There are many choices today...at Culture of Peace Alliance we hope you will chose our nonprofit for donations. Thank you

I just made a donation to the Culture of Peace Alliance on Tuesday to support the peace-building, violence-prevention and youth-empowering work that COPA and the groups and programs involved with this non-profit alliance are providing every day to communities in Tucson, Phoenix, and Southern Arizona. Your donation to COPA helps support programs such as Take Back the Night, the Nonviolence Legacy Program, Youth & Peace Conference, Phoenix Peace Builders, Community Conversations, Flutes for Vets and more!! Donate now on Facebook and your tax exempt contribution can be matched by Facebook's pledge of $7 Million Dollars today on Tuesday!!
Many Thanks -- Ann Yellott

A nice rare performance of "You Can't Blame the Youths" by Bob Marley and the Wailers at Capitol Studios in 1973.

Congratulations to Vana and Nai for all the work they did to support NLP during their time with the program. Looking forward to more on the Worthy Movement as they focus on that important vision for our community. Looking forward to the next steps for NLP. So many wonderful young people have taken the training and supported nonviolence in our local area, schools and in their lives. Much excitement for the future for both programs.

Tucson Community Public Announcement:

This letter/post is to inform the , Arizona community of my resignation Vana Dee Lewis from my position as The Coordinator of the Nonviolence Legacy Program (N.L.P), a program associated with C.O.P.A.

The Culture of Peace Alliance.

I had a great experience being the coordinator of N.L.P for the last three years. I truly want to thank C.O.P.A for this amazing opportunity and starting me on my journey with Nonviolence. From the beginning I only had intentions to lead the program for two years, with the goal of giving the program back to the youth of Tucson.

Becoming the coordinator of N.L.P taught me how important it is to understand my relationship with violence and how I interacted with colleagues. This personal understanding empowered me to help heal myself from deep rooted violence. This practice of internal Nonviolence enabled me to be truly present and available for more healing from violence within our community.

As I exit the program my desire for the program is still the same. Every trainer and volunteer personally implements the 6 principles of Nonviolence as a way of Life, not only in training, but in everyday life.
