The Friends of "A" Mountain at Sentinel Peak Park is a group of volunteers who love this special place and want to improve it. By "liking" this page, you have joined us in our effort to honor Tucson's birthplace. We organize buffelgrass removal parties, lead trail hikes, and advocate for funding to improve the park. The "A" was built by University of Arizona students in 1916 - just four years after Arizona become the 48th state

Mark your calendar! Bikes and pedestrians will soon have one day a week without cars. New hours for Safe Mondays on Sentinel Peak (no vehicle access) are expected to start on Veterans Day, Nov. 11.

During the rest of the week, vehicles will be allowed in the park between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m.
