Want to see thousands of monarch butterflies as they migrate to Mexico? Start planning your trip to Amistad National Recreation Area, a crucial stopover for these insects on their 2,500-mile journey. The best time to see monarchs is after the first major cold front, which tends to be in late September or in October. Reserve your camping spot now and contact the park for more information.
