We had a great event with Wakefield Middle School’s Fix-It Clinic club! We helped Mrs. Ferre’s students and their families fix items like suitcases, a microfridge, and building a little library from donated wood/supplies!

Hosting a repair cafe in schools is a great way for students to learn repairing skills, event organizing, leadership, and more.

We want to help these clubs spread to as many schools as possible. If you or your child is interested in bringing it to your school, get in contact with us at [email protected]!

🌵 Happy New Year to everyone in our wonderful Tucson community! 🌵

Your feed might need some good news right now, and we are happy to share our official 2025 stats!

In 2025, we:

🌵 Fixed 230 items
🌵 Stopped 2,210 lbs of items from going to the landfill (over one ton!)
🌵 Gave advice to 71 items to help their owners get parts or fix it themselves at home
🌵 Looked at a total of 382 items, which means our fix rate was 60% and our advice rate was 18.5%!

And, based on the cost of items told to us when people brought their items in…

🌵 Saved an estimated $39,209 ($56,524 if all the advice items were repaired) in money that would’ve been spent on replacing fixable items!

This brings our fixed item count up to over 850 items!

We are excited to continue helping Tucsonans in 2026. Please join us for our first event of the year on January 10th from 4-8pm at (101 W 6th St #111)!

Hello Tucson! We had a Fourth Saturday event planned for this weekend at Flowing Wells Library. Unfortunately, their A/C broke and will not be fixed in time for the event. The room we were going to be in is going to be an estimated 95 degrees, which is going to be very uncomfortable for our volunteers and for you! We are rescheduling this event so we can serve people in the Flowing Wells area. So sorry for this inconvenience! Please catch us at our next event on August 9th from 4-8 pm at Xerocraft (101 W 6th St # 111). See you there! 🧰
