Sharon Brewer, Wellroot's community cultivator and certified CRM teacher, led the session β€œResilience by Design: Managing Load, Protecting Capacity, and Sustaining Performance” at the Georgia Family Connection Conference.

Drawing on tools from the Community Resiliency Model (CRM), Sharon shared practical strategies to help individuals understand stress, protect their capacity and sustain their well-being while doing important work in their communities.

We’re grateful for our longstanding partnership with Georgia Family Connection and the opportunity to learn alongside organizations working to strengthen communities across our state. Strong communities are strengthened when leaders share their knowledge, experience and commitment to helping others thrive.

A church that once gathered people for worship is becoming a new ministry of hope.

Wellroot is transforming the former Avondale Pattillo United Methodist Church into a , a place where children, youth, and families will find housing, behavioral health services, and community support.

For many of you who remember Wellroot's history as the United Methodist Children's Home, this project reflects a mission that has guided us since 1871: caring for children and strengthening families. The building may be changing, but the calling remains the same.

Thank you for your faithful support. Because of people like you, this vision is becoming reality.

One unexpected expense can change everything for a family.

A car repair. A utility bill. A rent payment that comes due at the wrong time.

Thanks to a generous $300,000 grant from the Melvin Douglas and Victoria Kay Ivester Foundation, Wellroot will establish the Ivester Foundation Stabilization Fund to help Hall County children, youth, and families navigate financial emergencies before a temporary setback becomes a long-term crisis.

This investment provides flexible support when families need it most and offers hope during difficult moments.

Thank you to the Ivester Foundation for helping strengthen families across Hall County.

Some places never leave your heart. πŸ’œ

This month, alumni of the United Methodist Children's Home returned to Legacy Park to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate the memories they shared on the Decatur campus.

From summer days at the pool to friendships that have lasted decades, the reunion was a reminder of the countless lives connected to this special place.

We're grateful to the alumni who continue to share their stories and help keep this important chapter of our history alive.
