Big news for Tuckahoe and all of Westchester County!
The historic Ward House, once in danger of demolition after the closure of Concordia College, has officially been saved through the leadership and partnership of Westchester County.

Thanks to County Executive Ken Jenkins, County Legislator Judah Holstein, former Mayor Omayra Andino, the Friends of the Ward House, and many dedicated advocates, this important landmark will now be restored and protected for generations to come.

Even more meaningful is the County's decision to make the site the future home of the Lenape Center, honoring the original stewards of this land and helping tell a fuller story of our shared history. We look forward to working closely with the Lenape Center.

This is more than preservation. It is recognition and a powerful investment in culture, education, and community.
