Lesson 23 - Body Scan.

The kids enjoyed their body scan exercise. In the most comfortable position as they could come up with, without falling asleep.

Then group photos because they are almost done with all 24 Lessons. One more to go!

Fit For Me!

A lesson filled with Physical Activity. Superman, Butterfly Kicks, Crab Walk, Star Jump, Mountain Climbers. "These 5 exercises build muscle and get our hearts beating faster!".

Today's Lesson: Champions of Support!

"Sometimes we might forget that others want to see us succeed, but this is why we are here. I want to see each of you to succeed in whatever you want to do with your life."

Students identified their motivators, study buddies, workout partners (pets included), supporters, and negative mind changers.

Weather was perfect for outside play for both classes. The energy was definitely present and felt by NativeVision Tuba City

Another great day for Lesson 19: "Find The Kind" for one of our other NV classes. And a beautiful day to have our physical activity outside on the soccer field.

Lesson 19: Find The Kind. Students were given post-its and wrote positive comments or messages about/to their fellow classmates. Identified some best friends and new things about one another.

Repost: I would first like to thank the parents and participants for coming out to the mini-camp yesterday despite the weather. We were lucky enough for it to clear up in the afternoon for scrimmages and we enjoyed seeing the kids play.

Tuba City Elementary and District Staff were a tremendous help in helping secure the school for our camp and for helping us prepare before the camp and run it on the day of. Thank you so much Principal Begody and your staff.

Our community partners in TCRHCC - HPDP were a tremendous help in preparing and added greatly to the activities at camp. We were able to have a healthy food demo for the participants and practice teambuilding activities in separate sessions.

Then our colleagues from Johns Hopkins CIH - Shiprock. For supplying the equipment and teaching NativeVision lessons on goal-setting in the Glass Hogan.

And of course, our own team at JHU - TC. They put their projects on hold for the day so we could all work together to coordinate camp activities and they were very patient and cooperative with me.

Thank you all for your help. It takes a team and community to put events on like this for our youth. We hope you all had a great time.

Good morning!

We will be expecting rain today! Parents/guardians, please dress your kids accordingly. We have adjusted outdoor activities to inside the building for now as we monitor the weather.

Reminder that the registration/check-in time will be a little early at 7:45 AM to 8:30 AM, DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME.

We will have on-site registration available!

This past week TC JHU (which includes Azhe'é Bidziil , PSS/CiM+, SuNA) and the TCRHCC Public Health Team distributed take home Binax Test Kits to all the schools in the TCUSD #15. This included students and staff.

We hope every student and staff member and their family stays safe over their Spring Break and utilize their test kits if needed.
