Today at the WESTPORT ASTRONOMICAL SOCIETY in Westport CT was our GBARC & WAS Winter Field Day Event Weekend.
Many Members and Friends of GBARC and WAS were in attendance today either Taking Part in the Set-up and Operations or just Visiting and Observing.
Enclosed is a number of Pictures of many of those who were in attendance for this weekends yearly Event.
Many were from GBARC, WAS, GNARC, GFARA, ARES etc.

Wish to thank all of you that were in attendance to join and take part in this great Event.

Enclosed, please find our promotions, in three different formats, for our next upcoming GBARC FCC TECHNICIAN LICENSE AMATEUR RADIO TRAINING COURSE to begin THURSDAY EVENING at 6:30PM FEBRUARY 22ND 2018. Classes, each Thursday Evening will take place at the BRIDGEPORT EOC/911 DISPATCH CENTER 581 NORTH WASHINGTON AVENUE.

The Course fee is $60.00 which covers the cost of the STUDY MATERIALS, CLASS TRAINING POWERPOINT STUDY PROGRAM, FCC LICENSE REGISTRATIONS & TESTING EXAM FEES, ETC.

The Class Course will be Taught by Licensed Instructors, who will break-down all the Training Materials in the PowerPoint so as for you to easily understand and learn the material you will need to know to Achieve in Aquiring your Technician Amatuer Radio License.

GBARC's ANNUAL WINTER FIELD DAY EMCOMM Exercise Weekend is here!!!

WORKING IN CONJUNCTION with the WESTPORT ASTRONOMICAL SOCIETY (WAS), We look to make this a most special WINTER FIELD DAY EMCOMM EVENT!!!

On SATURDAY JANUARY 27TH & SUNDAY JANUARY 28TH...
G.B. ARC, INC. will be holding it's WINTER FIELD DAY EMCOMM COMMUNICATIONS WEEKEND EVENT.

Location will be at the WESTPORT ASTRONOMICAL SOCIETY
on the corner of 182 BAYBERRY LANE, WESTPORT, CT.

PLEASE BE SURE TO COME OUT AND JOIN US IN THIS FUN COMMUNICATIONS EVENT

EVENT runs from SATURDAY JANUARY 27TH 2:00PM THRU TO SUNDAY JANUARY 28TH 2:00PM.

SET-UP will begin at 9:00AM SATURDAY MORNING
BREAK-DOWN will begin 12:00 NOON SUNDAY Afternoon.

We are Operating with the Support of the Office of Emergency Management of the City of Bridgeport for whom we are Associated with as Volunteer EmComm Specialists in Amateur Radio.

It's a great opportunity for Any Amateur Radio Operator to come out and take part in Emergency Communications Drill, as well as, anyone who is not an AmateurRadio Operator to come out and get a personal experience in what Field Day EmComm Drill is all about and to Sit at a working Station with one of our Licensed Staff Members of GBARC and have them teach you to operate and make an EmComm Contact yourself!

So come out and bring the family to come join us that weekend for a truly fun experience and time.

This is a Great Opportunity to GET YOUR FEET WET with no pressure at all on you. Just the Fun in Learning, Operating & building Experience in HF Communications.

This Special Event is taking place at the:
