Hazardous Waste Collection Day will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM (Rain or Shine) at Indian Ledge Park (307 Indian Ledge Park Drive next to BMX Facility).

The Town of Trumbull offers a Household Hazardous Waste Collection program each year. Trumbull, Monroe, and Easton residents may participate. Residents will be required to show their Connecticut Driver’s License when they drop off their hazardous waste materials.

The Town of Trumbull is alerting residents and motorists that the State of Connecticut is performing signalization improvement work on White Plains Road, between Daniels Farm Road and Reservoir Avenue.

Work activity is expected to cause general traffic delays in this area. Motorists are encouraged to plan accordingly and use alternate routes when possible.

We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation while these important safety upgrades are underway.

25th Anniversary of September 11th Ceremony Invitation

The Nichols, Long Hill, and Trumbull Center Fire Departments cordially invite you to the 25th Annual Remembrance Ceremony on September 11, 2026 at 9 AM at Nichols Station 1, 100 Shelton Road. Uniformed personnel and guests are asked to assemble at 9 AM. The ceremony will include marking the times of the collapse of the South Tower and North Tower and lowering of the flags. It will conclude at 10:30 and be followed by refreshments at the training building behind the firehouse.

This ceremony is open to the public and serves to remind us of the tragic loss of life suffered 25 years ago and the extraordinary acts of courage and selflessness of first responders and volunteers. Please join us at this important remembrance of September 11, 2001.

Starting September 8, 2026, Edison Road will be closed between Williams Road and Melrose Avenue for road construction. The work is expected to be completed within two weeks, weather permitting. Please plan for detours and allow extra travel time when traveling through the area.

8/31/26: Paving Beginning in Tashua School Neighborhood Area

Paving will be underway in the neighborhoods surrounding Tashua School beginning the morning of Monday, August 31, 2026. Paving will begin on Mallett Drive and Peaceful Valley Road. Delays and detours should be anticipated when traveling through the area. The Board of Education has been notified about the road paving.
