Huge congratulations to Miranda in Ms. Seaborg's class, who was named the 3rd-grade District-Wide Winner in the Truckee Sunrise Rotary Club essay contest! Her beautiful essay on "Community" blew the judges away, which is no surprise since she is always the ultimate teammate and helper in our classroom. Miranda celebrated her well-deserved win with a certificate, a Word After Word gift card, and a pizza party for the whole class! 🍕🏆👏

Thanks to the heart and hard work of Mrs. Reid and the generosity of our community, we collected over 130 coats to keep our neighbors cozy next winter.

But it didn't stop there, sustainability was also at the heart of this drive, with 22 coats repaired and given a second life!

A huge thank you to Mrs. Reid for leading this initiative and to everyone who donated or helped with repairs. We are so proud of our Truckee Elementary family for making sure everyone stays warm.
