🚁 Meet the Med Crew Monday 🚁

This week, we’re excited to introduce our fearless leader, Flight Nurse/Paramedic and Program Manager Anna!

Anna’s healthcare journey began as a CNA in a nursing home, but she soon realized she wanted to do more. With three small children at home and while working full time, Anna made the decision to return to nursing school.

Now, 18 years into her nursing career, she has built a career centered around caring for others, continuing to grow, and leading those around her.

Anna joined Air Evac Lifeteam in 2016 and currently serves as our Program Manager.

When asked what she enjoys most about healthcare, Anna said:

“I just love taking care of people. I want to make their hard days just a little bit easier. I like never knowing what the day will bring. As Program Manager, I love leading and growing a team of excellent clinicians. We have a great team.”

Anna’s certifications and credentials include:
• RN
• Paramedic
• CFRN

Her dream of becoming a flight nurse began years before she joined Air Evac. As a young nurse working at Parkway in Fulton, Anna would watch air medical crews arrive to transport critically ill patients and knew that was something she wanted to do one day.

Then someone told her she would never be able to do it. Instead of discouraging her, those words only made Anna work harder to prove them wrong. Years later, not only did she become a flight nurse, but she now leads a team of flight clinicians herself. 🚁

Outside of work, Anna enjoys spending time with her family, playing with the grandkids, reading, canning, and watching her husband restore old cars.

🌎 Fun fact about Anna: One of her goals is to participate in a medical mission in the near future. She’s even spending some of her free time working on her Spanish-speaking skills in hopes of putting them to use while helping others!

When asked what she loves about Air Evac, Anna says it’s the unpredictability—you never know what the day will bring or where you might end up.

“I really do believe I have the best job ever, and I am honored that I get to help others and that I get to lead a great team of clinicians who also love the job.”

Anna, from starting as a CNA and going back to school while working full time and raising three small children, to becoming a nurse, paramedic, flight clinician, and leader—you certainly proved that person wrong!

We may call you our fearless leader, but behind that title is someone who genuinely loves taking care of people, believes in her team, and pushes us all to continue growing.

We’re proud to have you leading us at Air Evac Lifeteam 143! 🚁❤️

25 years.

On September 11, 2001, 2,977 innocent lives were taken. Families were forever changed. First responders ran toward danger while others were running away. Firefighters climbed stairwell after stairwell knowing they may never come back down. Police officers, EMS professionals, dispatchers, healthcare workers, military members, and ordinary citizens stepped forward without hesitation.

They simply answered the call.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember them. We still remember the stories. We still remember the courage, the sacrifice, and the way our country came together in the days that followed.

For those of us who wear a uniform today, September 11 carries a special weight. We have the privilege of continuing a legacy of service built by men and women who showed the world what courage truly looks like.

Today, we honor the 343 FDNY firefighters, the law enforcement officers, EMS providers, military personnel, and every innocent life lost that day and in the years that followed.

We remember those who never made it home.

We remember those who survived but carried September 11 with them for the rest of their lives.

We remember the families who still feel an empty seat at the table.

And we remember the first responders who showed us what it means to answer the call — no matter the cost.

25 years later, we still say their names.
We still serve.
We still remember.
