MEETING OF ARMENIA TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
AUGUST 12, 2026
12:00 p.m.

The regular Meeting of Armenia Township opened at 12:00 p.m. at the Township Office.
1. Roll call: Supervisors: Steve Harris, Colin Chaffee, Robert Foulkrod. Other: Mallory Babcock, Gary Horning, Tom Seas, Tom Billingsley, Howard Vroman, Matt Lee, TJ Avants
2. Pledge of Allegiance was cited.
3. Public Comment Period: no public comments
4. Minutes of Regular Meeting: Motion by Supervisor Foulkrod, seconded by Supervisor Harris to accept the minutes as reported. Motion passed unanimously.

1. Treasurer’s Report – Gary Horning gave the following report. The State fund balance is $11,919.49, State Fund MM is $51,071.26, Township fund balance is $18,767.70, Township MM is $50,330.60, Capital Reserve C&N fund balance is $49,108.90, Capital Reserve FC fund balance is $1,004.11, Raymond James ES balance is $331,402.13, Raymond James CD is $231,946.68, State Raymond James MM is $82,695.56; General Raymond James MM is $82,635.70 and Payroll is $7,537.89 for a total of $918,420.02. The financials are available at the Township office for review. Motion by Supervisor Harris, seconded by Supervisor Foulkrod to approve the report. Motion passed unanimously
2. Building & Driveway Permit Report – Mallory Babcock
1. 2026-02 David Klien for a stick built on Fallbrook Road
3. COG – Supervisor Chaffee said next meeting will be held later this month.
4. Tax Collector: Mallory Babcock reminds taxpayers that August 31st is the last day to pay the discounted rate for School taxes and that County taxes are due in the penalty amount.
5. Road Foreman –
1. Current working Dewey Hollow.
2. Carnwright project is completed.
3. The old material from the Carnwright Road project needs to be removed. TJ Avants has agreed to go look at it.
7. Old Business: There was no old business.
8. New Business:
1. Part time help for Roadman: Board agreed to run an ad for a part-time road man.
2. Board agreed to have Supervisor Harris and Roadman Matt Lee to work on repairing the line.
9. Adjournment Motion by Supervisor Foulkrod, seconded by Supervisor Harris to adjourn. Motion passed unanimously and meeting was adjourned at 12:30 p.m.

The Armenia Township Supervisors are now accepting applications for a part time road worker/laborer with a CDL. This is a skilled road worker position with the Township. The employee performs a variety of tasks related to the Township, involving the operation of Township vehicles, equipment, snow plow experience a plus, and manual labor. The job has physical and mental demands. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: The employee should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year experience, in a construction or Public works job entailing duties similar to those required for this position. REQUIRED LICENSES: valid CDL Class B with Air PA driver’s license.
