This week the firefighters with the Lincoln County Fire Protection District #1 had the honor of assisting the Mo. Dept of Conservation with their yearly 1st grade fishing events at the Troy City Pond. Although the weather was not the best for fishing the kids and adults had a great time fishing and talking about the ones that got away. We would like to thank the volunteers, family members, the conservation agents, the City of Troy Parks Division and the teachers and school employees for continuing to make this yearly event a great success.

8 AM UPDATE from Storm Prediction Center....

This is not looking good for our area later today. Highest risk so far of the season for the St. Louis area. PLEASE, have a plan in place if you are in the level 4/5 area. (moderate risk)

Between the time of 2pm - 7 pm is the greatest risk for the STL metro area (INCLUDING ALL AREAS IN THE 3/4 AREAS). Then until 10 pm for areas southeast.

If you hear sirens today or have a warning (even a severe t-storm warning - due to monster hail) TAKE THEM SERIOUSLY!

The firefighters with the Lincoln County Fire Protection District #1 appreciates the opportunity to work with one of our neighboring fire departments to help make this a successful event.

Students of Winfield High School, it was our honor to set up a scene today we hope you never experience in real life.

Your choices matter
-to you
-to strangers,
-and, very much to every first responder in each department that helped make this possible.

Make good choices this weekend and have a wonderful prom.
We would love to see your photos online, or you driving past headed to eat or to the dance, or stopping by a station sometime.

We DO NOT want to see you in any official way, especially this weekend.

Stay safe, Warriors!
