🇺🇸 Memorial Day is more than a holiday—it is a promise.

A promise that we will never forget the men and women who gave everything for this nation. The empty seats at family tables. The dreams left unfinished. The lives sacrificed so future generations could live in freedom.

At VFW Post 5436, we do not view this day as simply a date on the calendar. We see it as a call to remember, to reflect, and to honor those who paid the ultimate price for the American flag and the freedoms it represents.

As our nation moves toward America’s 250th Anniversary, we are reminded that the story of this country was written by courage, sacrifice, and generations willing to stand for something greater than themselves. Freedom was not handed to us—it was defended, protected, and earned through sacrifice.

So this Memorial Day, let us do more than remember.

Let us live with gratitude.
Let us stand with pride.
Let us teach the next generation what this day truly means.

And above all, let us ensure that the legacy of our fallen heroes lives on—not only in memory, but in how we carry ourselves, serve others, and love this country.

🇺🇸❤️ Last night was a powerful reminder of what makes the VFW family so special.

To everyone who came out to support our fellow Post family members—thank you. Whether you donated, volunteered, cooked, helped behind the scenes, or simply showed up to support, your kindness and generosity meant more than words can express.

In difficult times, this Post continues to prove that no one stands alone. The way everyone came together last night was truly inspiring and something every member should be proud of.

A huge thank you as well to Desert Star for donating their time and talent to play last night at no charge. As always, they were absolutely amazing.

Moments like this show the strength of this Post, the heart of its people, and what it truly means to stand together. Proud to be part of this family. 💪🇺🇸

🇺🇸 VFW Family,
We don’t like having to make changes to our schedule, and this certainly isn’t something we normally do, but we will unfortunately be canceling this Saturday’s $1 Wing Night.

We will still be showing the UFC fights at the Post, with the prelims starting at 6 PM and the main card beginning at 9 PM.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and continued support, and we look forward to seeing everyone at the Post Saturday night. 💪

Excellent question. Prepare yourself. 😎

Crispy tator tots piled high with shredded pork… then YOU load up the toppings like the culinary genius you were born to be.
Basically, nachos looked at tater tots and said, “let’s make history.”

When hard times hit, you find out what family really means—and this Post stands together. We invite everyone to come out, share a meal, enjoy great music, and help remind Kyle and Eryn that they are not facing this alone.
