WOW!! 🎉 We want to take a moment to say a HUGE thank you to the Monadnock Huskies 🐾 and fans!! We received an incredible amount (and variety) of food from the donations gathered at the NH Tackles Hunger football game 🏈 back on September 29th. And THANK YOU to the Monadnock Athletic Department for organizing these efforts. It has helped fill our pantry shelves and warmed all of our hearts here at Helping Hand. Many local families will benefit from your generosity. 🤲🏻Their appreciation goes beyond words.

During the spring and summer, donations to area food pantries often dwindle. To help, The Keene Sentinel is helping raise money throughout the month of April for the Monadnock Food Pantries Collective, which Helping Hand Food Pantry in Troy is a part of.

Along with the fundraising efforts, The Sentinel will publish a series of stories on issues of food access and insecurity in the Monadnock Region during the month.

Hello Helping Hand followers. We hope this finds you well. Below, you will find updated information that will hopefully answer a lot of questions.

The pantry portion of Helping Hand is open. Our hours are 10-12 on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays. Food donations can also be left during these times. Thanksgiving turkeys and fixings started going out today and will continue Friday 11/19 and Monday 11/22.

The thrift store is unfortunately not open at this time. And we cannot take any clothing or household donations. Our space is very limited and is being used for food overflow. See pictures below.

We would like to a moment and thank those who have given abundantly over the past year.

1. Our local scouts and community for their "Scouting for Food" drive. Several hundred pounds of non perishables were donated.

2. The Monadnock High School staff and students who participated in the "NH Tackles Hunger" food drive.

3. Local employees of Savings Bank of Walpole.

4. AND all of our regular supporters!!

I hope this helped clarify things. If you have any further questions, please reach out. Someone will get back to you in a timely manner. Thank you!
