Trojan Park Splash Pad Update!!

After a multi-year hiatus, the splash pad is back in action!! Bring your kiddos out to Trojan Park to cool off and enjoy.

Starting today, and as long as it stays warm, it will be operational seven (7) days a week between the hours of 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM.

Monday evening between the hours of 4 P.M. – 9 P.M. someone felt it was necessary to kick their way into, or out of, the stall in the men’s restroom at Trojan Park. The stalls in the women’s restroom must have been more compliant as they did not receive as much damage.

Unfortunately, we were unable to locate the gifted pumpkin that was mentioned in the graffiti.

If you recognize the handwriting, or think you may know who the culprit was, please feel free to contact Troy PD. They would welcome the opportunity to have a polite conversation to educate them on the consequences of damaging/defacing public property.

Curtis Ave Rehab Project

The contractor is scheduled to begin rehabbing Curtis Ave starting tomorrow, June 17th. They will start at the intersection of E. Austin and work their way north to E. Bell St.

There will be crew members available to safely guide motorists through the construction zone. Residents will have access to their driveways and be able to drive on the surface throughout this phase.

Please do not park your vehicles in the street or Right-of-Way during this time.

🌧️ Help Us Identify Flooding and Drainage Problems in Troy!

Have you experienced water covering a roadway, flooding in your yard, drainage problems near your home or business, erosion, or debris buildup after a storm?

The City of Troy and the Texas Water Development Board are working together to develop the City of Troy Drainage Master Plan, and your local knowledge is an important part of that process.

Residents can use the online survey to:

🌊 Tell us how often flooding occurs and how deep it gets
🚧 Report impacts to roads, homes, businesses, and property
📷 Upload photographs from past flooding events
📝 Share additional details or concerns

Your input will help the project team identify and prioritize problem areas and develop potential flood mitigation projects for future planning and funding opportunities.

A contractor is scheduled to begin rehabbing the section of Lely Drive highlighted in red in the attached image. Construction is scheduled to begin tomorrow, but some minor prep-work has already begun. The contractor will have personnel onsite to safely direct traffic through the construction zone, but if possible, please use an alternate route. City crews are working to repair a water leak on E. Austin by the Elementary School. Residents along E. Austin, Elizabeth, Skyview, and surrounding areas may experience lower than normal pressure while the repair is being made. This repair is anticipated to take two (2) hours. We will post an update once it is completed. As always, thank you for your patience while staff works hard to make these repairs.
