Town of Troy, NC The Town of Troy, North Carolina, was established in 1852. Troy currently has a population of 4,200.

Troy is the county seat of Montgomery County and is centrally located in the state within the Uwharrie National Forest. Troy is operated under the council-manager form of government. The efficient management of the Town provides many quality services to town residents and businesses, and has resulted in the town maintaining its tax rate for over 30 years. Included in these services are police, water and sewer, sanitation, parks and recreation, and older adult services. Troy is also served by an outstanding volunteer fire department, with one of the best ratings in the state. The Town of Troy is an Equal Opportunity provider and employer.

ENTRANCE AND PARKING LOT CLOSURE
The main entrance and main entrance parking lot at Montgomery Memorial Hospital is closed due to ongoing construction of the new hospital. Multiple parking lots and entrances remain open including the Medical Arts lower entrance and lot, outpatient entrance and lot and Emergency Department entrance. Please refer to map for routes, entrances and parking.
