Just a reminder that the Senior tax freeze application process will expire the 31st of July, 2025. If you were 62 years of age January 1st 2025 and owned a primary residence in Lincoln County you can apply for the homestead tax freeze at the County Collectors office at 1 Front Street - Troy, MO 63379.

05/19/2025

Value change notices have been mailed - please read insert letter included with notice explaining what has transpired for the this assessment year. For those that have applied for the Senior Tax Freeze - whatever taxes paid on the primary residence in 2024 will be what is billed for 2025 as well. Assessors still have to assess properties each year - any value increases due to reassessment will not affect the taxes on the primary residence - if there are improvements made to the residence - then we would have to reassess and then freeze the values after the updates have been calculated and determined.
