Eli Lauer, rising Junior from Charles Henderson High School is currently attending Alabama Governor’s School being held on the campus of Samford University. Students are selected based on outstanding achievement, intellectual ability, and creative potential.
Established in 1987 and recognized as Alabama’s official Governor’s School since 1988, the program is part of a nationally respected network of Governor’s Schools across the country. This incredible opportunity is awarded to outstanding students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a passion for learning. During the two-week program, Eli will join other high-achieving students from across Alabama for an immersive educational experience designed to challenge, inspire, and prepare tomorrow’s leaders.
Chosen from more than 300 applicants across Alabama, these students represent the integrity, commitment, and leadership that will help shape the future of our state and our nation. We look forward to seeing all they will accomplish in the years ahead.
