Friends of Mt. Pisgah State Park To donate to the Friends Group & support programs: http://bit.ly/donatetomountpisgahfriends The 1,302-acre state park is along Mill Creek, at the base of Mt.

Pisgah, elevation 2,260 feet. The park is only two miles north of US 6, the major route through the northern tier. Secondary roads passing through the villages of East Troy and West Burlington travel over rolling farmland to the park. A dam on Mill Creek forms Stephen Foster Lake, named after the famous composer and onetime local resident. The 75-acre lake provides fishing, boating and skating. Adjacent to the park are Mt. Pisgah County Park and State Game Land 289.

Where painting meets preservation!

The 2027 Pennsylvania Waterfowl Management Stamp Contest is officially open for submissions!

Interested artists must submit an original, full-color horizontal painting featuring one of the following species as the main subject: bufflehead, northern shoveler, gadwall, redhead, or Canada goose.

Artwork must be entirely original and may not be copied from photographs or previously published work — because conservation can look so fly.

The contest is open to Pennsylvania residents only, and artists may submit up to two entries. Entries must be submitted via email by Friday, July 31, 2026, at 4 p.m. Up to 24 finalists will be selected for the final judging competition.

The winning artwork will be printed as the 2027 PA waterfowl collector’s stamp and fine art print, which then goes on sale to the public.

All proceeds from print sales directly support waterfowl conservation efforts across Pennsylvania, including wetland habitat development, land acquisition, and maintenance of existing wetlands throughout the Commonwealth.

Consider submitting for the stamp that “sticks” up for wildlife!

For detailed contest and submission rules please visit our website at: https://bit.ly/WaterfowlStampContest or contact the Northwest Regional Office, [email protected]
