This Memorial Day weekend, I would like to send my thoughts to those grieving the loss of a loved one who passed serving our country. Memorial Day initially began as a time for those to remember their lost loved ones after the Civil War. In the 20th Century, the day expanded to encompass those who passed in service of the country during WWI and WWII.

The purpose of Memorial Day has been slowly lost over time. It has come to be known as a time to have fun, relax, and take a break from life (which we all need right now). As a military veteran, I encourage you to take time with me to reflect on the past and remember my fallen brothers and sisters. I ask you to remember their sacrifice, and what it means for us in our everyday lives.

Please feel free to leave a comment with the name of a loved one who gave the ultimate sacrifice for all of us. Let us remember them together, lest they be forgotten.

To anyone following this page I apologize, I suck at social media. Until recently I pretty much checked out of all social media for my own sanity and focused on my friends, my family and my business. But I realize that if I'm going to have a shot at running a successful political campaign I'm GOING to have to engage on social media platforms. But that doesn't mean I'm going to be good at it 😅!

For right now I'm going to focus on where I'm going, what I'm doing, and would heartily encourage any suggestions on events, or organizations that you think I should connect with.

With that being said, lets start with tonight:

Tonight I'm going to visit Warren County Labor Club, and ask them if they would allow me to speak at an upcoming meeting, then I'm headed over to John I. Wilson Memorial American Legion Post 94 in Troy to join.

Saturday:
I'm going to attend for the second time a meeting with the Lincoln County Democratic Club who are amazing in their dedication and enthusiasm, and have already been a HUGE help to my campaign!

Also, since the start of this year:

I joined Hawk Point VFW Post 7560 last month, and was able to attend a couple mornings at Lincoln County Veterans Coffee Talk. Both have made me glad for the opportunity to connect with fellow area vets as a result. Not only for the campaign, but on a personal level.

I joined and was endorsed by Tri-County Labor Club in Saint Charles. It has been a pleasure to speak with fellow labor members and candidates for other upcoming elections. The vibe is amazingly positive and it has been a blast so far!
