A great day at the State Games! TUPD Officers were able to spend time at all of the events, the highlight of their day was helping with Awards at the bowling competition!

Today the Troy area Law Enforcement agencies hosted the Final Leg of the Law Enforcement Torch Run! We were joined by fellow LE Officers from all over the State who spent the day carrying the Flame of Hope to the Troy Campus to help us open the Alabama Special Olympics State Games! It is always a great way to end the week and start the weekend!!!

Good afternoon, this year we are opening the decal portal early so that next year’s decals can be purchased starting June 1st. This will provide our summer students as well as those attending Impact an opportunity to pick up their decal prior to the start of the school year. We hope this will free up a little time for you when classes start. See the information below. As always, call us if you need us.

2026/2027 Student Parking Decals

The 2026/2027 student parking decals will be ready for purchase
June 1, 2026. Decal prices remain the same as last year (see below).

1. Go to the parking tab at the bottom of the www.mytroy.edu home page and select the second red bar on the next page.

2. Register your vehicle and pay for your decal.

3. Bring a current vehicle registration to the University Police Department and pick up your decal.

We are located at 400 Pell Ave. facing John M Long.

We are open Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm.

2026/2027 STUDENT PARKING DECAL PRICES
(Decals are valid 6/1/26-7/31/27)
Student decal - $100.00
Student – 2nd decal* - $15.00
Student – with a TROY plate** - $25.00
Motorcycle - $25.00
Temporary – per week - $5.00
*Only available if you already have a 25/26 decal. This is a 2nd and/or replacement decal.
** This is a State of Alabama-issued license plate.

We have four officer trainees starting the police academy today at the Wiregrass Public Safety Center in Dothan. Join us in wishing them the best as they begin the journey to become Police Officers! WOW! We are so proud of Opelika PD Ofc. Cody Barr! Cody is a TU graduate who started his Law Enforcement career at the TUPD. We hated to see him leave last year but we knew he would do great things at the Opelika Police Department. Watch the video in the comments. Amazing job Ofc. Barr. Keep up the great work!
