Town of Troutman

Town of Troutman Troutman, North Carolina (pop. 3,698) embraces a quintessential small-town spirit that gives it distinct charm.

While other small towns have grown into large cities or simply faded away, Troutman has remained the small town that is quintessential Americana- and for that, we are proud. Troutman residents, with a median age of 38, bring a youthful, progressive energy to the town and enjoy easy access to a multitude of jobs and entertainment opportunities in Charlotte, Greensboro, Hickory, and Winston-Salem.

As we reflect on 25 years of remembrance, we honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the loved ones who continue to carry their memory, and the first responders whose courage and selfless service defined that tragic day. That legacy of service is especially close to home in Troutman through Council Member Eddie Nau, a retired NYPD officer who responded to Ground Zero as part of a rapid-response team. We invite you to read his reflections on that day and the years that followed. We will never forget.

Greenway Lighting Improvements!đź’ˇ

Over the next week or so, you’ll notice some changes along the Greenway as Duke Energy begins replacing the existing light poles. The old poles will be removed and replaced with newer, safer, and more substantial poles. These improvements will provide a brighter, more illuminated Greenway and help create a space that feels safer and more welcoming for everyone who enjoys it.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while we make these improvements! We’re excited to see this project come together.🌳🚶‍♀️🚴‍♂️
