Last night was a wonderful evening of installing new board members and officers, recognizing award recipients, and giving back through donations! 🎉
We are pleased to give Larry Rogers, Principal of Career Academy and Technical School - CATS, our highest honor: The Book of Golden Deeds Award. Larry has been instrumental in the success of our Cars for Kids Car Show the past few years, and without his support and openness, our events would not be nearly as successful. We are extremely grateful for him. 💛
We also wanted to thank Deborah Jones for her exceptional assistance and support with our car show at CATS. She was presented flowers and gifts from the club. Thank you! 💐
🧑🎓 Our A.C.E. Scholarship winner this year is Ryan Kett! The A.C.E. (Accepting the Challenge of Excellence) Scholarship is an award that local Exchange Clubs give every year. It recognizes high school students who have overcome severe physical, emotional, or social adversities and successfully stayed on track to graduate. Ryan has overcome his challenge with Autism and is #1 in his graduating class at Crossroads Early College. He will be attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University this fall. Way to go Ryan!
We were pleased to make two donations this year with the proceeds from our Cars for Kids Car Show! We donated $4,500 to our local Exchange Center Pharos Parenting to help with their local child abuse prevention efforts. 💙 We also gave back to CATS by donating $450 for safety supplies for their welding program.
For this coming fiscal year, our President will be Jane Babela, Past President is Amy Suggs, Secretary is Becky Sharar, and Jane will also serve as treasurer.
Our board of directors for this coming year are Tim Cuttle, Barbara Sprinkle, Mike Sharar, and Robbie Suggs!
