The Troup Police Department would like to extend a huge thank you to one of Troup's newest businesses, Gaucho's Spirits, for their generous donation to help raise funds for this year's Troup Community Block Party!

The funds donated to the Troup Police Department will help cover the costs of children's bounce houses, the mechanical bull, food vendors, games, and many other activities that will make this year's event a great experience for the entire community.

We invite everyone to join us on October 24th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM for an evening of fun, food, and fellowship. This will also be a great opportunity to meet some of the newest officers serving our community and enjoy activities for both children and adults alike.

Thank you again to Gaucho's Spirits for supporting our community and helping make this event possible. We hope to see everyone there!

The Troup Police Department would like to congratulate our newest officer, Officer Jessica Bowling!

Officer Bowling previously worked for the Smith County Sheriff's Office while attending college and earning her Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice in Leadership Management. She began her employment with the City of Troup in January of this year and was sponsored by the Troup Police Department to attend the Tyler Junior College Police Academy.

We are proud to announce that Officer Bowling successfully completed and graduated from the academy yesterday. She was officially sworn in as a Troup Police Officer by Chief Shawn Murry, with the special assistance of her eldest daughter during the ceremony.

Please join us in welcoming Officer Bowling to the Troup Police Department. If you see her out and about in the community, be sure to say hello and congratulate her on this outstanding achievement!

Today, the Troup Police Department joins communities across our nation in honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it is a time to remember the heroes who gave their lives to protect the freedoms we enjoy each day.

As you spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, we encourage everyone to stay safe, have fun, and take a moment to reflect on the courage and sacrifice of our fallen service members.

Your kindness, generosity, and continued support for law enforcement truly means a great deal to all of us.

These are the same folks who were in Troup last week without a city permit were in the City of Bullard, TX - Government. City permits cost a solicitor $5.00. Permits enable cities to have contact information in case citizens have a problem with a solicitor.

Reputable solicitors do not see the permit as an impediment.

The City of Bullard would like to make residents aware that the City has not issued a solicitors permit to Romex Pest Control.

Residents are encouraged to use caution when interacting with door-to-door solicitors and may request to see a valid city-issued permit before conducting business.

For questions or concerns regarding solicitors in your area, please contact Bullard City Hall or the Bullard Police Department.

We are proud to be part of a profession built on teamwork, service, and strong partnerships.

Overton Police Department is fortunate to serve under leadership that truly supports its officers while remaining dedicated to doing what is best for their community. That commitment and support continues to make Overton Police Department a great place to serve.

From May 11–17, we honor the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and recognize the officers who continue to stand the watch, protecting and serving their communities with integrity and dedication.

The Troup Police Department would like to welcome our newest officer, Officer Sara Deville, to the Troup PD family!

Officer Deville comes to us with over 9 years of law enforcement experience. Prior to joining Troup PD, she served with the Lake Dallas Police Department where she held several important roles throughout her career, including Field Training Officer, Patrol Corporal, and later CID Detective.

Officer Deville recently made the decision to move closer to home. A graduate of Henderson, she still has family in the area and is excited to continue her law enforcement career serving East Texas communities.
