Trotwood Citywide Clean Up Planning Meeting

📅Wednesday, June 17, 2026
⏰6:00 p.m.
📍Trotwood Community & Cultural Arts Center (4000 Lake Center Drive, Trotwood, OH 45426)

TROTWOOD, OH – Churches, businesses, community organizations, neighborhood leaders, and residents from across Trotwood are invited to attend a community planning meeting on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Trotwood Community & Cultural Arts Center, located at 4000 Lake Center Drive, Trotwood, OH 45426.

The meeting will provide an opportunity for community members to come together to dream, share ideas, and explore what a citywide fall cleanup could look like for Trotwood.

This effort is being facilitated through a partnership between the City of Trotwood and Declare, bringing together community stakeholders to create an initiative that not only beautifies the city but also strengthens relationships and community pride.

Declare has extensive experience helping coordinate large-scale community service initiatives. In partnership with the City of Dayton, Declare helps organize the annual Living City Project, one of the region's largest collaborative cleanup efforts. In April of 2026, hundreds of volunteers served in more than 30 Dayton neighborhoods and removed over 113 tons (226,940 pounds) of trash and debris. The initiative brings together churches, neighborhood associations, nonprofits, businesses, and residents to improve neighborhoods while building relationships and community pride.

"The Living City Project has shown us that the greatest impact often extends beyond the trash that is collected," said Trotwood resident Marcy Walker of Declare. "When neighbors, churches, businesses, and community leaders work side by side, relationships are formed, trust is built, and communities become stronger. We are excited to partner with the City of Trotwood to explore what a similar community-driven effort could look like here."

Organizers hope this gathering will serve as a starting point for developing both a citywide cleanup effort and ongoing collaboration among churches, businesses, organizations, and residents who care deeply about the future of Trotwood.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:
• Share ideas and vision for a Trotwood Citywide Fall Cleanup
• Connect with local churches, businesses, organizations, and residents
• Explore opportunities for partnership and volunteer engagement
• Help shape an initiative that reflects the unique strengths and needs of Trotwood

Any Trotwood resident is encouraged to attend and participate in the conversation.
