🚨 Important Trash Notice for Tropic Residents 🚨

Garfield County is requiring all community dumpsters in Tropic to be consolidated into one central location. This is a county decision, not a Town of Tropic decision.

📅 Starting Wednesday, January 28, all dumpsters will be moved to the new county site.

📍 New Dumpster Location:
South side of Bryce Way, approximately ¾ mile past Bryce Valley High School, next to the agricultural waste pit.

❗ The dumpster at the Town Yard is NOT for personal household trash.

🗑 Prefer curbside pickup? Residents may contact Hughes Waste to set up individual home garbage service.

📞 Questions about the change should be directed to Garfield County.

Tropic Town has the following openings:

✨ 1 Town Council Seat
• 2-year term (Jan 2026 – Dec 31, 2027)
• Applicants will be interviewed on Jan 8, 2026 at 6 PM

✨ 2 Planning Commission Seats
• 4-year terms

Residents interested in serving are invited to submit a letter of interest explaining why you would like to serve and what skills or experience you bring.

📍 Turn in letters to the Tropic Town Office
📅 Deadline: Dec 30,2025

Qualifications:
✔ U.S. Citizen
✔ Resident of Tropic Town for 12 months
✔ Registered voter
