🌟Kelsey Rhine is our August MVP of the month!

As a new paraprofessional to Beck, Kelsey has already made such a positive impact. She has stepped into her role with patience, compassion, and dedication, building meaningful relationships with students and supporting them throughout their day. Her positive attitude, flexibility, and heart for our students make her someone both students and staff can count on.

We are so proud of the way Kelsey has embraced her new role and continues to go above and beyond for our students! 💙🖤

Handwriting Bootcamp: COMPLETE!🎖️🪖✏️
Our first grade Bulldogs officially graduated from Handwriting Bootcamp last week!
Over the past few weeks, our little writers worked hard learning proper letter formation, pencil grip, spacing, and most importantly, grit and perseverance!
They even had to complete a final handwriting mission to earn their graduation!
We are so proud of our little writers and the strong foundation they are building! Way to go, First Grade!🪖⭐️✏️

🎥 Today is 5th grade, students learned facts about dinosaurs. 🦕 They compared the heights and lengths of different dinosaurs while practicing subtracting of decimal fractions. Students even had a surprise full size dinosaur named “Briscosaurus” 🦖 stop by to check out their amazing subtraction skills!

🏁 Math + NASCAR = a winning combination! Our 5th graders kicked off their learning about comparing decimal fractions with a fun, real-world NASCAR experience.

First, students watched part of a NASCAR race. Then they made predictions about who would win the race based on their observations. Next, students got to view the finial race times and could adjust their predictions, as needed. Lastly, they watched the end of the raced to see if their prediction was right. Fun was had for all!

Inspired by The Boys in the Boat, we were reminded that every team member has an important role, and when we all row together toward a shared vision, we create the best opportunities for student success.
