STAGE III WATER RESTRICTIONS BEGIN JULY 1, 2026
Due to extreme drought conditions and critically low water levels, the City of Trinidad is implementing Stage III Water Restrictions, the highest level of water conservation measures.
💧 Watering Schedule
❌ No watering on Mondays
🏠 Even-numbered addresses (0, 2, 4, 6, 8):
Water Wednesday, Friday & Sunday
⏰ 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. only
🏠 Odd-numbered addresses (1, 3, 5, 7, 9):
Water Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday
⏰ 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. only
Additional restrictions include:
• No new rural extra-territorial water taps
• Vehicle washing only with a shutoff nozzle or bucket
• Prevent runoff onto streets, sidewalks, and driveways
• Limit filling of fountains and ponds unless necessary for aquatic life
To further conserve water, the City will turn off the Splash Pad at Cimino Park effective immediately. Because the splash pad requires a continuous flow of water, it is considered a significant water use during severe drought conditions.
The Community Center Pool will remain open. The pool is already filled and requires relatively little water to maintain, allowing residents and visitors to continue enjoying this important community amenity while minimizing additional water consumption.
⚠️ Violations may result in fines ranging from $300 to $2,650.
