City of Trinidad – Water System Notice

Attention Trinidad residents:
Our water plant is currently struggling to keep up with the outflow and demand on the system. This often happens after a hard freeze.

We are asking everyone to please:
• Check your pipes (inside and outside)
• Check your water pressure
• Check your meters and service lines for any signs of leaks or breaks

Even small leaks add up quickly and impact the entire system. While post-freeze issues are common, it’s critical that we remain aware and proactive to help stabilize water service for the whole community.

If you believe you have a leak or notice unusual conditions, please take action immediately and contact City Hall if assistance is needed.

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping protect Trinidad’s water system.

This work isn’t glamorous, and it isn’t easy, but it is essential.

You will not find a more dedicated, dependable, and hardworking Public Works Department. Their commitment to this community shows up when conditions are uncomfortable and the work is demanding.

On behalf of the City, thank you for your professionalism, resilience, and unwavering service to our residents. Your efforts do not go unnoticed, and they are deeply appreciated.

The City’s priority is safety, and sometimes the best thing we can do as a community is pause, stay put, and take care of one another.
