Today, the New Jersey Faith Action Center pauses to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to lift in prayer the families, friends, first responders, and communities who carry the weight of that tragic day.

May God grant comfort to those who still grieve, peace to those who carry painful memories, and strength to all whose lives were forever changed.

We remember. We honor. We pray. 🇺🇸🙏🏾

Throwback Thursday 🌊☀️

Freedom School Beach Day was a beautiful reminder of what happens when scholars from all walks of life come together to learn, connect, reflect, and celebrate community. 💙

We’re throwing it back to July 24-and there’s so much more to share about all that has happened and all that’s in the works, including Freedom School Day from last Wednesday!

At the Faith Action Center, we believe in creating spaces where learning, faith, community, and action come together to inspire what’s possible. The journey continues! 📚🌱 Stay tuned!

Uplift Freedom School ☀️

The Faith Action Center’s Executive Director, Dr. Vanzant, and our interns had the pleasure of visiting Uplift Freedom School and experiencing their morning Harambee - meaning “let’s pull together” in Kiswahili.

Through read-alouds, songs, cheers, affirmations, and celebrations, scholars and staff come together each morning to build community, foster belonging, and prepare for a day of learning, leadership, and empowerment. 💙📚✨

The Faith Action Center’s Executive Director, Dr. Vanzant, had the pleasure of joining Lieutenant Governor Caldwell, the Union County Interfaith Coordinating Council, the Muslim Community Center of Union County, and Community Access Unlimited for an Interfaith Potluck!

It was an honor to gather with faith leaders and community partners to strengthen relationships and explore new opportunities to collaborate in service of our communities.

The Faith Action Center’s Executive Director, Dr. Vanzant, had the pleasure of joining Lieutenant Governor Caldwell on a visit to World Food Movement, an organization making a tangible impact in the fight against hunger and food insecurity across New Jersey.

Having delivered more than 20,000 hot, nutritious meals in 2025 and a goal of serving 100,000 meals annually by 2027, World Food Movement is proving that access to food is about more than nourishment—it’s about dignity, opportunity, and community.
