Attended ceremonial observances of the 25th anniversary of September 11th attacks held by Mercer County, New Jersey and by Ewing Township, NJ.
25 years later, we will continue to remember those innocent souls we lost, the courageous first responders, and military and how our country came together showing strength and resilience.

A busy day and evening in Trenton NJ!
I was pleased to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly renovated Reading Senior Center, now a beautiful and welcoming space for Trenton’s seniors. This project is a great example of what can happen when federal, state, and local governments work together, and it was wonderful to have so many of the leaders who helped make it a reality there to celebrate.
Later this evening, I attended a packed headquarters opening organized by Trenton Councilwoman Yazminelly Gonzalez. It was a full day of celebrating investments in our community and the people who make Trenton stronger! Peterson’s Breaking News of Trenton

The Mercer County Clerk's Office plans to mail out ballots to voters on the vote- by-mail permanent list on September 19, 2026, and voters may still apply to vote by mail. Concurrently, we will closely monitor any legal developments and make necessary adjustments consistent with applicable law, and NJ State guidance. If you wish to opt out of voting by mail, please use this form, Vote by Mail List - Opt out form (https://www.mercercounty.org/home/showpublisheddocument/37935/639238550088660861), or contact our Elections Department at [email protected] or at 609-989-6494 (tel:609-989-6494) by September 11, 2026.
IMPORTANT: If you do not receive your vote-by-mail ballot in the mail by October 13th, please contact the Office of the Mercer County Clerk to apply for a duplicate ballot at [email protected] or call us-- so we can make arrangements to hand-deliver or overnight mail your ballot to you.
When returning your ballot, we encourage you to use a Mercer County drop box for a direct pick-up from the Board of Elections.
-If you are on the list to receive a ballot and wish to vote at the polls, you may do so on a provisional ballot.

It was great to be at the NJ Statehouse for the signing event celebrating the Trenton IronHawks hockey team! 🏒
Mercer County Executive Dan Benson and Governor Mikie Sherrill kicked off the event, welcoming five New Jersey hockey players to the team. We’re excited to see them take the ice for their first game on October 24th in Trenton!
