The Missouri State Parks system is composed of 91 parks and historic sites managed by the Dept. Crowder State Park was created in 1938 to commemorate Major General Enoch Herbert Crowder. Crowder is best known as the “father of the selective service”. Crowder also served as the first ambassador to Cuba. The park is comprised of 1,912 acres of rugged slopes and stately forests. Crowder State Park's office is open Fridays and Saturdays from 10 am to 6 pm. We are also open Sundays from 1 pm to 6 pm. Stop by to buy a souvenir or rent a shelter or watercraft. Watercraft can be rented for $ 10.57 per watercraft for 2 hours ot $21.15 per watercraft for the day
All equipment must be returned by 8 pm.
We have 6 kayaks, 3 canoes and a stand up paddleboard.
All watercraft, life jackets and paddles are stored by the lake.

Camp Rainbow arrives tomorrow. Park staff have worked hard to prepare for their arrival. We borrowed track chairs from Battle of Lexington State Historic Site and Pershing Boyhood Home. We borrowed accessible beach chairs from Thousand Hills State Park and Mark Twain State Park. We borrowed a 40 x 60 tent and ADA bus from our Central office.

Naturalist programs for Saturday June 20th
8 am Explorer Walk- meet Anna at the campground amphitheater for a short exploration walk
2 pm Nature Touch table- meet Spenser at the campground shower house for an informal opportunity to learn about animals found in the park
6 pm Poisonous and venomous- join Anna at the campground amphitheater for an informative program about Poisonous plants and venomous animals

We're also going to be providing archery and fishing programs with Camp Rainbow on Saturday.
