Rotary Club of Trenton, New Jersey The Rotary Club of Trenton meets at 12:15 PM on the 1st, 2nd & 3rd Thursdays of each month at Trenton Country Club. We meet every Thursday at noon on Zoom.

Congratulations to Christine De Jong, recipient of the 2025 Lion Woodward Scholarship!

A graduate of West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North and rising sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh, Christine is pursuing a Pre-Med track while serving as a member of the U.S. Navy ROTC.

In addition to her academic achievements, Christine volunteers at UPMC, participates in the No One Dies Alone (NODA) program, and remains actively involved in service through the STEP@Pitt Puppy Raising Program.

We are proud to recognize Christine's commitment to academic excellence, service, leadership, and patriotism, and look forward to seeing all she accomplishes in the years ahead.

Thank you again, Captain James “Jim” Challander, for joining us at this week's Rotary Club of Trenton luncheon and sharing your remarkable story.

A United States Marine Corps veteran, retired New Jersey State Police Captain, community leader, devoted family man, and lifelong public servant, Jim has spent decades serving others with integrity, courage, and compassion.

Throughout his distinguished career, he held numerous leadership positions, led major investigations, and dedicated himself to protecting and strengthening the communities he served. Yet what stood out most was his humility, commitment to service, and genuine care for others.

Our members were honored to hear firsthand stories from a lifetime of leadership and public service. Jim's experiences served as a powerful reminder of Rotary's guiding principle: Service Above Self.

Thank you, Jim, for your service to our country, our state, and our communities. It was truly an honor to have you with us, and we hope to welcome you back again soon.

Join us this Thursday as Trenton Rotary Club welcomes Capt. James “Jim” Challender, a Marine Corps combat veteran and retired New Jersey State Police captain.

Capt. Challender will share stories from his military service during the Cold War, his friendship with President John F. Kennedy, deployments to Cuba, and reflections on a remarkable life of service.
