Today, on the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, the State Parole Board stands with our nation in remembering the nearly 3,000 lives lost on that tragic day.

The State Parole Board honors the courage and sacrifice of the first responders and law enforcement officers, the many who answered the call to serve in the days and years that followed, and all those whose lives were forever changed by the attacks.

We will never forget.

This week, the State Parole Board proudly recognizes Pretrial, Probation, and Parole Supervision Week and honors the dedicated professionals who work daily to ensure public safety while simultaneously helping persons under parole supervision reintegrate into their communities.

Parole officers protect our communities by holding people accountable, connecting them to critical resources, and encouraging lasting positive change. Their work often happens behind the scenes, but their impact on the lives of persons under supervision is felt throughout our communities.

The State Parole Board thanks both sworn officers and civilian professionals for their commitment, compassion, integrity, and service! To learn more about the mission of the State Parole Board, follow the agency on social media or visit the State Parole Board website at www.nj.gov/parole.
