We also recognize Pooja Ghadiali, Chair of the New Jersey Young Democrats South Asian Caucus, for her work organizing campaigns, advocating for communities, and strengthening relationships between elected officials and stakeholders.

May is AANHPI Heritage Month a time to celebrate the rich histories, cultures, and powerful stories that define Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities.

We’re proud to kick off this month by highlighting Karlito Almeda, our Co-Chair, and Kinn Badger, NJDSC Coalitions Director. Both have helped pave the way in government and political spaces, advocating for our communities and stepping up to lead by putting their names on the ballot.

Happy holidays!

Wishing you all a very happy holiday and thank you for all the hardwork you have all done this year. Looking forward to coming together next year and working alongside our new governor and their administration. As we wrap up this year, please consider donating to Wynona’s House Child Advocacy Center. They coordinate services for child victims of abuse and neglect in Essex County, bringing together law enforcement, prosecution, medical, and mental health professionals in a child-friendly setting to investigate abuse, support healing, and hold offenders accountable. It provides a centralized, multi-disciplinary approach to minimize trauma for children by offering services like forensic interviews, medical exams, and therapy in one location, aiming to promote justice and healing.
