❤️🖤🐻 Dressed to the 9’s on the 9th! ❤️🖤🐻

We are please to announce a new initiative in our building where we encourage our students & staff to dress to impress on the 9th of the month! As the year continues, we hope to add in some grade level activities where we practice skills like shaking hands & making eye contact while speaking and tying ties - skills we need to be successful! We are so impressed with our kiddos & staff that joined us today!

Students who normally ride Bus 63 in the morning will be picked up by Bus 40 tomorrow, 9/10/26. There will be a substitute driver and we anticipate that the bus will run approximately 20 minutes behind its normal pickup schedule. ❤️🖤🐻 Last post of Red Wagon recipients, but most certainly not least - please join us in celebrating Mrs. Jasmin Workman for reasons listed below ⬇️

Jasmin has jumped right into her new role as an instructional assistant and has already made such a positive impact on our classroom and our students. She has been an incredible help as we establish routines, rules, and expectations with our new group of third graders. Jasmin is self-directed, attentive, and always seems to notice when help is needed without having to be asked.

She has a natural way with students and is a calm, quiet presence in the classroom. She observes what is happening around her and is able to redirect behavior, solve problems, and support students in a very discreet and effective way. Her ability to step in at just the right moment has been such a valuable addition to our classroom.

We are so excited to have Jasmin as a part of our 3rd grade team. She has truly hit the ground running, and we are grateful for all that she has already done to support our students and our team!

❤️🖤🐻 Please join us in celebrating Mrs. Kathy Saunders, lovingly known as “Mama Saunders” to all in our building. She is being recognized as a Red Wagon Recipient for the reasons listed below ⬇️

There are some people who simply have a gift for showing up when they are needed most. They jump in without hesitation, lend a helping hand, and somehow make even the busiest days feel a little lighter. This person is one of the most giving hearts you will ever meet, and she gives her time with kindness, grace, and genuine generosity.

On one of the most exciting—and absolutely crazy—days of the year, she jumped at the opportunity to help pull us through. Whether it was in the carpool line, opening milks at breakfast, helping in kindergarten classrooms, or lending a hand in the hallways, she was everywhere she was needed, always with a smile on her face.

Mama Saunders, thank you for always being ready to grab a handle and help pull the wagon. Your willingness to jump in, serve others, and make a difference is such a gift to AHB. We are so grateful for you!

A note from Mrs. Ferguson about Ms. Anderson (who has graciously agreed to facilitate a stem connect class all year! Ask your students about it!): Ashely has dived into her new role as the STEM connect teacher and is doing a great job. She is a natural problem solver and we are grateful to have her on the team, she has already helped us put out several fires. We are so excited to continue working with her this year.

A note from Mrs. Kat about Ms. Simmons: As a still somewhat new teacher, stepping into a new classroom setting can be incredibly overwhelming, but Tasha has been my absolute anchor and the biggest reason for our success. She is endlessly supportive, always finding quiet, impactful ways to lift up both me and our students every single day. Whether she is stepping in to help a child who is struggling or keeping our daily routines running smoothly, her constant presence creates a warm environment where everyone feels cared for. Quite simply, I would not be able to do my job without her; she is an indispensable partner in this classroom, and I am deeply grateful for her unwavering support and heart.

We are so grateful for these two ladies! They are true gems at AHB! ❤️🖤🐻

❤️🖤🐻 Another Red Wagon award to be celebrated last week! In case you didn’t know Mrs. Evelyn Carmon is BACK at AHB! Read what her team had to say below ⬇️

For years, she has been the kind of person who quietly makes everything better—helping teachers prepare lessons, working with small groups, and somehow even getting everything under the sun done! 😂

When Mrs. Carmon went on to teach a class of her own, she was certainly missed by her Kindergarten family. After a year of retirement, though, her love for our students and the Bangert family brought her right back to us!
While she could have been spending her days relaxing and traveling the country to visit her own grandchildren, she decided to make time to continue loving, caring for, and nurturing the children here at AHB as well. And for that, we are incredibly grateful!

Mrs. Carmon has jumped right back into the swing of things in Kindergarten POD G, and we couldn't be more thrilled to have her back! She has always had our backs, and now she's back where she belongs—loving on our littlest Bears. 🐻❤️

Mrs. Carmon, we are SO grateful for you! Thank you for continuing to pour your love, patience, and heart into our children. AHB is better because you're here!
