Being prepared doesn’t have to be overwhelming — and this is the perfect place to start.

Join us Saturday, March 28 from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM at the USU Brigham City Campus (989 South Main Street) for a FREE community event focused on emergency readiness, practical skills, and hands-on learning.

🛑 If an earthquake strikes, do you know the safest way out?

After an earthquake, buildings may be unstable, and hazards like broken glass or fallen objects can block exits. Plan ahead by:

✅ Identifying primary and backup exits in your home and workplace.
✅ Practicing how to evacuate safely if necessary.
✅ Choosing an outdoor meeting point in case you need to leave your home or office.
✅ Keeping sturdy shoes and a flashlight handy in case of debris.

🚨 What should you do when the ground starts shaking? 🚨

The best way to protect yourself during an earthquake is to Drop, Cover, and Hold On!

✅ DROP to your hands and knees to prevent falling.
✅ COVER your head and neck under a sturdy table or desk.
✅ HOLD ON to your shelter until the shaking stops.

Practicing this could save your life! Join Tremonton City and thousands across Utah in the Great Utah Shake Out on April 17 at 10:15 AM.

With the storms coming in over the next few days mixed with the warming weather and frozen ground there is some small possibilities of flooding. We want to let everyone know that our City Emergency Management Department has some small water pumps available to borrow if you need to pump out a window well or basement. For more information or to request a pump contact our Emergency Manager Nate Christensen at 435-278-4199.
