As you know we have some bad weather coming thru tonite and tomorrow our storm shelter are open we have the one at city hall and the south Tremont fire station on 23 also the medical clinic next to city hall also if you come to city hall please park on the gravel lot DON’T PARK in front of the fire truck doors the last couple time we have had to ask people to move their cars because we had call to go to

We were going to wait till later this week to announce that a new fire truck has been ordered for the Tremont Fire dept. Yesterday a news story appeared in the DJ Saturday edition of the paper about our truck given the green light to purchase we were hoping to have the final drawing of it this week then the build process will begin our delivery date is some time in December of 2025 some of new features of this truck will be more water capacity enhance warning lights enclosed ladders and suction hoses a front bumper trash hose and a fq siren getting this truck was a team effort from dept members to board of supervisors and county fire coordinator Our truck is being purchased from Goldys Fire in Tupelo

Big shout out to Fulton Fire and Tilden Fire for your help this morning Fulton ladder truck played a big role this morning in getting the wrecker crew to the trailer to secure it we like to say a big thank you to all that help this morning. MHP troopers an motor carrier personal and Itawamba so for their help also to mdot for for clean up help

Some ugly weather is headed for us in the next few hours if the need arises the storm shelters are open in Tremont how ever please park in front of city hall due to construction there is a lot of materials pile up around the station and a bobcat loader and don’t park in front of the door at the station if we get a call we are coming to get you out to move your car or pickup once again be safe

Please folks don’t burn right now this is what can happen we just return from a call with Fulton fire and northeast fire that started from a small trash fire then got some wind behind it a Scott h two pastures and some Tva power line rightaway so till this burn ban get lifted don’t burn

As most of you know we had some nasty storms hit in the south tremont area our dept was out on state line rd getting the road passable along with crews and equipment from the fourth Dist we got it done about eight o’clock this morning we like to thank the air conditioning repair that lives on state line road and naththan cagel for their help this morning
