This week is National EMS Week and our EMTs and Paramedics love helping all of our community including the kiddos! Yesterday we had our monthly meeting with the Continuing Education on Pediatrics (Kids) taught by Steve Amstutz from Pekin Fire.
Trauma is the most common call EMS responds to, so this summer help us help them by keeping them safe!

Today is the final day of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week! April 12-18, 2026 💙💛❤️

We wanted to end this week by expressing our gratitude to the wonderful heroes at Tazewell County 911 - TC3 on the other end of the phone line and radio. We appreciate how you keep our crews safe, relay information, and get us additional help with a calm voice even though you likely have many other tasks going on!

Fun fact Friday - did you know that Tremont Rescue is equipped to provide both basic life support (BLS) and advanced life support (ALS)?

We currently have 5 providers who are certified paramedics or pre-hospital registered nurses (PHRN). This allows us to provide a higher level of care to our residents when needed. 🚑🚨

This weekend 13 of our members had the opportunity to become Mental Health First Aiders, which was a specific class tailored to Fire/EMS personnel teaching how to respond and interact with individuals experiencing a mental health crisis or challenge.
