All finished! - Broadway Rd., from Springfield Rd. to I-155 will be CLOSED today for a short amount of time (approximately 𝟏𝟎:𝟎𝟎𝐚𝐦-𝟏𝟏:𝟑𝟎𝐚𝐦) for road striping. We will update once the road is open. Thank you for your patience during this maintenance season!

- We will allow unlimited totes near the end of the season, but for now, we would like everyone that would like one to have a chance.

Please see the link to our map in the comments to learn about road jurisdiction in Tazewell County.

1. Roads with a 𝗥𝗘𝗗 dotted line are County Highways under 𝐓𝐚𝐳𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲 jurisdiction. These roads are maintained by Tazewell County Highway Department.
- - -Examples: Springfield Rd., Townline Rd., Olympia Rd. etc. (but only when they are 𝗿𝗲𝗱 on the map.)

2. Numbered routes are 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 routes, and are under Illinois Department of Transportation's jurisdiction for maintenance.
- - - Examples: Route 98, Route 122, I-155

3. Roads with a 𝗕𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗞 dotted line are 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 routes. They are up to each township/road district to maintain. (The townships are sectioned off by color on the map.)
- - - Examples: Red Shale Rd. = Cincinnati Road District and Elm Grove Road District, Guth Rd. = Washington Road District

4. Areas shaded 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘆 are 𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 and have jurisdiction over roads within those areas.

Roadwork will begin tomorrow, July 8th, on Broadway Rd. from Springfield Rd. to I-155. One lane will remain open. Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to take another route if possible.

Springfield Rd. is now OPEN - Thank you for your patience during this repair.

UPDATE 6/24/26 2:20PM: Springfield Rd. is now OPEN

ATTENTION: Springfield Road is closed between IL Route 9 and Franklin Road west of Tremont. This closure is due to a pipe culvert failure. This location will remain closed while we work to replace the pipe. We will reopen the road as soon as we are able. Thank you for your patience.

ATTENTION: Springfield Road is closed between IL Route 9 and Franklin Road west of Tremont. This closure is due to a pipe culvert failure. This location will remain closed while we work to replace the pipe. We will reopen the road as soon as we are able. Thank you for your patience.

On Monday, June 22nd, roadwork will begin on Mackinaw Rd., Townline Rd., and Towerline Rd. in the areas depicted on the map. One lane will remain open. Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to take another route if possible.

Beginning Wednesday May 20, 2026, Sky Ranch Rd. in Spring Lake Township will be closed to through traffic between Hass Ct. and Baurer Rd. for bridge replacement work. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of Summer. Motorists should seek the use of alternate routes. Please reach out to IDOT with any questions at (309) 671-3333.

Wingwall Repair on the North side of Toboggan Ave just west of Brownwood Rd. will start on Monday April 20th(weather dependant) and continue for approximately 4 weeks. While most of the work will be performed on the side of the road within the right-of-way, traffic may be down to one lane during working hours. Please be safe and use caution when travelling this area and use alternate routes if possible. Thank you for your patience during this year's construction season.
