TCHD staff are wearing blue today for Men's Health Month!

Inspire the men in your life to prioritize regular checkups and screenings, maintain a nutritious diet, and stay active for a longer, healthier life!

Men’s health is shaped by relationships - partners, families, caregivers, friends, and communities at every stage of life.

When men are supported via connection, education, and shared advocacy, they seek care, stay engaged, and live healthier, longer lives.

This Men’s Health Month, we’re recognizing care as a partnership - because stronger connections lead to strong health outcomes.

With all the rain we've seen over the last few days, there's a chance you've seen flooding on your property. Not only is it a hassle, but did you know that if you're on a well, that flooding can also affect your drinking water?

Floodwater can carry pollutants like agricultural runoff, industrial chemicals, or sewage. This can seep into groundwater which supplies many people with their drinking water!

If you've had flooding around your well or even a neighbor's well, don't risk getting sick by drinking or using your well water if you think it may be contaminated. Instead, get it tested!

Another successful Handle with Care Conference is in the books!

Last Thursday, we helped bring together educators, administrators, and school resource officers involved in or interested in the Handle with Care program at Central Junior High in East Peoria. They participated in interactive sessions built around the power of connection, seeing different perspectives and balancing compliance with staff self-care.

A fire-side chat highlighted the importance of law enforcement partnership and establishing a school culture that proactively addresses trauma. Community champions were recognized for their partnership and dedication to serving students experiencing trauma.

Thank you to all the community partners and presenters who helped to make the day a success!
