Meet Lee Forton! 🇺🇸
This year, we’re welcoming Lee Forton onto the TPUSA at NMC Executive Board — for the time being!
Lee is 22 years old and was born and raised in Leelanau County. He is currently in his fourth year as a Maritime Engineering Cadet at Great Lakes Maritime Academy, working toward graduating with a Bachelor of Science and his third engineering license.
Before pursuing his maritime career, Lee worked on a cherry farm for five years, giving him a strong connection to agriculture and the hardworking people who make it possible. He’s passionate about agriculture and the direction this country is going.
When he’s not studying at school, you can probably find Lee snowmobiling in the winter, jet skiing in the summer, working on cars, or racing his BMW. And when he’s not doing any of that, he’s probably with his girlfriend, Brea — most likely doing TPUSA work or some other form of politics.
Unfortunately, Lee will soon be heading out on the Great Lakes as part of his Maritime Academy training. While we’ll miss having him around campus, we’re grateful to have him on the board and look forward to welcoming him back when he returns!
