BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!

Planned improvements at KJC Traverse City State Park- including a redesigned park entrance, a new at-grade pedestrian crossing, a new campground contact station, a relocated park headquarters building and an expanded sanitation station- are nearly complete. As a result, 151 campsites will open to reservations Oct. 8 through Nov 8. Reservations for these sites will become available at 8 a.m. Thursday, September 24. This project is made possible thanks to an approximate $8.5 million in federal funds from Gov. Whitmer’s Building Michigan Together Plan.

Some much needed work will be happening on our beach building starting next week. New siding will be added and toilet partitions replaced. The beach building will be closed. The beach area will remain open and portable toilets will be brought in for the rest of the season. Thanks for your patience and understanding while we finish up construction.
