Jubilee House, an outreach ministry of Grace Episcopal Church Providing assistance with basic needs such as laundry, showers, hygiene items, and community. The community support keeps us going!

Mission: to provide assistance with daily living needs and support, which promotes the dignity and respect of the homeless, marginally employed and low income citizens in the greater Grand Traverse area. Services: The following services are available to anyone in the community who expresses a need.
• Laundry: One load of laundry may be washed and dried per day. Detergent is provided.
• Showers: Pe

rsonal toilet kits are available for anyone desiring a hot shower.
• Computer Use: Computers with Internet access are available to patrons on site.
• Personal Storage Bins: Bins are available for those who are homeless and need a place to store their personal items in a secure location.
• Extreme Weather Emergency Location: During the harshest part of winter, Jubilee House may extend hours to provide a warm place for people to stay out of the elements.
• Computers & Internet: Jubilee House maintains 5 desktop computers allowing our guests to search for employment, apply to various government agencies for benefits, check on and make medical appointments, and send and receive emails.
• Clothing & Other Needs: Donations from the community and friends of the Jubilee House keep the house running. This includes financial donations, new and recycled clothing, hygiene products, hand warmers, back packs, shoes, boots, haircuts, and much more.

We are in great need of the following summer items (starting with the most needed):

Blankets
Backpacks
Individually packaged snacks
Lightweight jackets (men's and women's, rain jackets especially)
Summer socks

Jubilee House is Traverse City's only drop-in day shelter for adults experiencing homelessness. Your donation will go straight into the hands of those who need it most!

Please bring donations to 325 Washington St. Mon-Fri 10am-5:30pm. You can park in the driveway next to the house, come up the wooden ramp to the back door, and ring the doorbell. One of our fabulous volunteers will come meet you. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE DONATIONS WHEN WE ARE CLOSED.

Please bring donations to Jubilee House at 325 Washington St. from 10am-5:30pm Mon-Fri. WE'RE HIRING!

Jubilee House is looking for a professional cleaner to help reduce the burden on our wonderful volunteers. At the end of each day, we have about two hours of cleaning to do--it's a lot to ask of our volunteer population, and it diverts our focus from our guests at a crucial time of day. This little house sees a lot of traffic and needs more care than we are currently able to give.

This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule, paid time off, and paid holidays. Please share widely!
