Join us in welcoming our new Fire Chief

Trafford Citizens,

I was recently appointed to the Fire Chief’s position by Mayor Howell. I am very honored and excited to start in this position. I have lived in Trafford/County Line for 15 years with my wife Misty, my 4 children Hope, Gabe, Ian, and Evie. My wife and I have been married 23 years, and now we have a two year old grandson, C**t.

My work experience includes 33 years of the Fire Service being a Firefighter/Paramedic at Hoover Fire Dept. and Warrior Fire Dept. I worked full time at Hoover for 25 years and retired. While I was there I also worked part-time at Warrior FD where I served as Assistant Chief.

We have only a few Volunteers on the Trafford FD as of now. I’m happy to work with them like we will work for you. I'll be working to rebuild a roster and implement training which includes, but not limited to- CPR, basic EMT skills and Fire Training. Some of them have this training already.

I’m no stranger to answering Fire and EMS calls here. I have volunteered at Trafford in the 1990’s and early 2000’s.

I’m looking forward to serving the citizens of this town and I hope we will have your support. If there is any way I can help you or assist you in the Fire/Emergency Medical Service feel free to email me at [email protected]

- Chief Bret Huffstutler
