Hello, my name is James “Jamie” Meredith, and I am the incumbent director seeking your support for re-election in District 4.
As a board member, my goal is to use my knowledge and understanding gained through my past 8 years on the board to carry on the vision of JCREMC to be the most efficient, customer oriented, and forward-thinking utility in the State of Indiana. In keeping with that vision, I am honored to serve one of the most recognized and progressive cooperatives in the State, all while providing stable rates and exceptional reliability.
I live in Trafalgar and have been a 20-year member of JCREMC. I’ve been a dedicated JCREMC board member, actively participating and representing JCREMC at the local, regional and national levels, holding various committee assignments and the offices of secretary, treasurer, and vice chairman, and serving as JCREMC’s representative on Hoosier Energy’s board of directors (JCREMC’s wholesale energy provider). I have earned my Credentialed Cooperative Director and Board Leadership certifications from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.
For the past 20 years, I have been the owner and managing funeral director of my family-owned business, Meredith-Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown, and my family is a longtime supporter of community involvement, local non-profit organizations and school activities.
A graduate of Indian Creek High School, I hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of Southern Indiana and a degree from Mid-America Mortuary College.
My wife Angela and I have two children, Hunter (22) Junior at USI and Gracee (17) Junior at Indian Creek High School.
