The Twp of Washington, NJ - Bergen County is pleased to once again offer FREE American Flags to residents, courtesy of VFW Post 6192 Twp of Washington NJ .

Residents may pick up a complimentary American flag in front of Town Hall while supplies last.

📣Announcing Township’s Spring into Wellness Scholarship 2026 💰💰

The Twp of Washington, NJ - Bergen County Township 5K Run/Walk & Health Fair began in 2023 in the Township of Washington under the direction of Mayor Peter Calamari, Councilman Tom Sears, and Councilwoman Daisy Velez. The goal was to bring the community together and bring awareness to the importance of health and wellness in a fun, family-friendly way. After several successful inaugural years, we’re looking to pay it forward!

➡️Apply for your chance to receive a $1,000 scholarship‼️

✅ If you are a graduating Township resident high school senior, entering a health-related field, please review the criteria below for an opportunity to be awarded one of 2️⃣ $1,000 scholarships.

🚨Criteria for the scholarship:

1. Application must be completed by the student in its entirety.

2. Township of Washington resident for at least one year.

3. High School Senior graduating in 2026, pursuing higher education in a health-related field.

4. Demonstration of community service and volunteering spirit via application.

5. A copy of the letter of acceptance to the college or institution the graduate will be attending.

6. A 4️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ word essay, 12 point font, double spaced on the following topic:

Tell a story or share a defining moment in your life when you knew you wanted to pursue a career in a health-related field. Describe how that experience helped shape your decision and what kind of impact you want to make through this career.
